The LUXIA Hyperpigmentation Skin Peel is a professional-grade chemical peel combining Lactic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and soothing actives to correct stubborn pigmentation, refine texture, and restore radiance. Suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types — available exclusively to verified UK practitioners.

Instructions:

1. Preparation & Skin Priming
Patch Test: A patch test is mandatory 24–48 hours before the full treatment.
Cleaning: Thoroughly cleanse the skin to remove all oils and debris.
Protection: Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to sensitive areas like the corners of the eyes, nostrils, and lips to protect them from the peel.

2. Application Protocol
Dispensing: Pour the required amount of peel solution into a clean glass or plastic bowl.
Application: Use a fan brush or gauze to apply the peel in a thin, even layer across the treatment area.
Timing:
First Treatment: Leave on for 1–3 minutes depending on skin sensitivity and reaction.
Subsequent Treatments: Time can be increased up to 10 minutes as skin tolerance builds.
Observation: Monitor the skin closely for any signs of "frosting" or excessive erythema (redness).

3. Neutralisation & Removal
Neutralise: This peel must be neutralised. Use the LUXIA Neutraliser or a cool water compress to stop the chemical action.
Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the skin with cool water until the patient no longer feels a tingling sensation.
Soothe: Apply a soothing, hydrating serum or a cool compress immediately after removal.

4. Treatment Course
Frequency: Sessions should be spaced 2–4 weeks apart, depending on the skin's recovery and the depth of the pigmentation.
Recommended Course: A series of 4–6 sessions is typically required for significant results.

5. Critical Cautions
UV Exposure: This is the most critical caution. Patients must avoid direct sun exposure and wear a high-factor SPF (like LUXIA SPF 30 UV Primer) daily. The skin will be highly photosensitive.
Active Ingredients: Discontinue use of Retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs 3–5 days before and 5–7 days after the peel.
Contraindications: Do not use on active cystic acne, open wounds, sunburnt skin, or patients who have used Roaccutane in the last 6 months.
Fitzpatrick Scale: Use extra caution on higher Fitzpatrick skin types (IV-VI) to avoid triggering post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation; shorter contact times are recommended initially.

6. Aftercare
Hydration: Keep the skin well-hydrated with a gentle moisturizer.
No Picking: If any flaking or peeling occurs, the patient must not pick or pull at the skin, as this can cause scarring or further pigmentation.
Heat: Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for 48 hours.

Description

LUXIA Hyperpigmentation Skin Peel – Professional-Grade Pigmentation Correction for All Skin Tones

The LUXIA Hyperpigmentation Skin Peel is an advanced, professional-grade chemical peel formulated to deliver visible, lasting improvements in skin clarity, tone, and texture. Combining a precise blend of clinically proven actives, this treatment targets stubborn pigmentation at its source — reducing dark spots, melasma, acne scarring, and uneven tone while simultaneously hydrating, soothing, and renewing the skin. Suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI), it offers practitioners a versatile, reliable solution for a broad range of clients.

Key Ingredients & Their Actions

  • Lactic Acid: An AHA that exfoliates the skin surface, disrupts melanin synthesis, and improves moisture retention for a brighter, more even complexion.
  • Azelaic Acid: Inhibits tyrosinase activity to reduce melanin overproduction, targeting hyperpigmentation and post-inflammatory discolouration while calming redness and inflammation.
  • Chloroacetic Acid: Penetrates deeper skin layers to accelerate cellular turnover and break down pigmented cells, enhancing the overall corrective action of the peel.
  • Salicylic Acid: A keratolytic BHA that exfoliates the outer skin layer, unclogs pores, reduces blemishes, and primes the skin for deeper active penetration.
  • Papain Enzyme: A natural enzyme derived from papaya that works synergistically with Azelaic Acid to brighten dull skin and promote a luminous, refreshed appearance.
  • Glycerin, Panthenol & Allantoin: A trio of skin-conditioning actives that deeply hydrate, soothe, and protect the skin barrier throughout the peeling process, minimising irritation and supporting a comfortable recovery.

Key Benefits

  • – Targeted Pigmentation Correction: Reduces and prevents dark spots, melasma, age spots, and uneven skin tone through a multi-mechanism approach to melanin regulation.
  • – Exfoliation and Cellular Renewal: Accelerates the shedding of pigmented surface cells, revealing smoother, clearer skin beneath.
  • – Brightening and Radiance: Visibly improves skin luminosity, leaving clients with a noticeably refreshed, more even complexion.
  • – Intense Hydration and Barrier Support: Hydrating and soothing actives minimise discomfort during treatment and support skin recovery post-peel.
  • – Suitable for All Skin Tones: Carefully formulated for safe and effective use across Fitzpatrick types I–VI, making it a genuinely inclusive treatment option for diverse client demographics.

Ideal Candidates

Clients presenting with hyperpigmentation, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), acne scarring, age spots, or generalised uneven skin tone and texture. Suitable for all skin types and tones.
