Finacea 15% Gel is a prescription-only azelaic acid treatment used for mild to moderate facial acne and papulopustular rosacea. It helps calm visible inflammation, reduce blemishes, and support a clearer, more balanced-looking complexion when used consistently as part of a personalised skin treatment plan.

Description

Finacea 15% Gel is a prescription-only topical treatment containing azelaic acid 15%, used for mild to moderate facial acne and papulopustular rosacea. It is commonly recommended as part of a personalised skin treatment plan for patients looking to improve the appearance of inflamed blemishes, redness, and uneven-looking skin associated with these conditions.

Azelaic acid works by helping to reduce inflammation and target factors involved in blocked pores and spot formation. For rosacea-prone skin, it can help improve the appearance of inflamed bumps and visible redness linked with papulopustular flare-ups.

The gel is usually applied to clean, dry skin twice daily, in the morning and evening, unless advised differently by your prescriber. It should be used regularly and carefully, avoiding contact with the eyes, lips, mouth, and other sensitive areas.

Some patients may experience mild stinging, burning, itching, dryness, or redness when starting treatment. These effects are often temporary, but if irritation becomes severe or persistent, you should seek advice from a healthcare professional.

Finacea is not suitable for everyone. A qualified prescriber will assess your skin concerns, medical history, current medicines, and treatment goals before deciding whether this treatment is appropriate for you.
